In september 2013 heeft de Senaat van de VS unaniem de resolutie (S. RES. 221) over natuurgeneeskunde geaccepteerd. Deze resolutie erkent de waarde van natuurgeneeskunde als een methode die veilig en effectief is, en die ook betaalbaar is. Amerikanen worden aanbevolen zich op de hoogte te stellen van het werk van natuurgeneeskundigen, vooral bij de behandeling van chronische aandoeningen.
